Coming to Theaters: Chasing Chasing Amy! 🍿
Chasing Chasing Amy hits theaters on November 1st
In some ways, Chasing Chasing Amy is a story that’s been a lifetime in the making. When I first saw Kevin Smith’s Chasing Amy at age 12, I couldn’t have imagined all that would come from that fateful first viewing. The film that once captivated my imagination—and kept me alive—became a genuine vocation.
It’s been an incredible journey: on September 1, 2018, I moved to New York City to participate in the TED Residency. Adobe and TED took a chance on me by letting me spend three months in TED HQ conducting research for the documentary and by allowing me to tell my story on their stage. Slowly but surely, an amazing team came together, participants agreed to be interviewed, and we started piecing together our film.
In the last year and a half, we’ve played this film worldwide: premiering at Tribeca, playing at over 75 film festivals, including the BFI London Film Festival, and connecting with countless people who have humbled our filmmaking team with their genuine responses. We’re currently sitting at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, we’ve won Jury Prizes and Audience Awards, and received coverage from incredible publications like The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Collider, and Entertainment Weekly.
Now, after six transformative years, I can share with immense pride that Chasing Chasing Amy is finally coming to a theater near you on November 1st! IndieWire even called it a “must-see movie.” And you can get your tickets now.
